There is no wooden ball or metal core in these poi only fuel absorbing wick which reduces the risk of burns and bruises.

These Fire Poi are made using Kevlar rope wick tied in a knot called a Monkey Fist. These are beautifully crafted using five laps of rope rather than the standard four. This design is big and beautiful however when soaked with fuel is heavy.
